Collerina EL 6336

The Collerina tenement of 100 units, 300 sq km is reached from Sydney via the Mitchell Highway and is located about 40 km south of Nyngan. The tenement is located within the Fifield platinum province northwest of the laterite nickel-cobalt-platinum deposit at Syerston (80 Mt 0.7% nickel, 0.13% cobalt plus platinum) and close to Tritton and Budgery (copper–gold) and Tottenham (copper) Mines.

A belt of intrusives trending north-west along a strong fault zone has supported several workings for copper and hosts Augur’s nickel-cobalt resource.  These intrusives extend over a distance of 20 km within the tenement.

  • Drill existing of 795,000 @ 0.73% nickel (as calculated by Pacific Copper) at depth and along strike defiene a JORC compliant resource.
  • The Collerina project is comprised of lateritic nickel hosted near surface.
  • Augur’s drilling program has resulted in intersections including 24-32m (8m) @ 2.0% nickel, 0.2% cobalt.  Augur is testing this nickel mineralisation, to determine the existence of nickel sulphides, as per the Avebury example in Tasmania.
  • Additionally previously calculated gold potential and high grade copper intersections will be assessed as part of the development program.
